Blizzard World Launching January 23rd!

Blizzard has announced on Twitter that the long-awaited new map Blizzard World will be launched on live servers January 23rd!  Announced at Blizzcon 2017, Blizzard World is the newest hybrid-mode map featuring fun themes from Blizzard games Warcraft, Starcraft, and Diablo.  Lots of interesting features on the new map, including a first point with lots of side rooms, winding second phase with lots of high ground, and a castle third phase with a quick shortcut to the final point.  Without a doubt, the map looks really great and many players are waiting to see how the map plays out in real competitive matches.  If past map releases are any indication, we'll see a week between the release of Blizzard World and the map reaching the competitive ladder rotation.

Also expected with the map is a huge set of new skins - some based on other Blizzard games.  The skins look great, and include Butcher Roadhog (Diablo), Nova Widowmaker (Starcraft), and Magni Bronzebeard Torbjorn (Warcraft).  In addition to the themed skins from other Blizzard games, other heroes are getting some new skins too - Reinhardt and Mei will get the skins from their lastest animated shorts. Besides skins, there's also a decent chance that the Mercy and Junkrat nerfs may make their way to live servers.  In case you can't wait and haven't had a chance to try it out, Blizzard World is playable now on the PTR.
